If there’s one flavor combination my family never gets tired of, it’s chicken, bacon, and ranch. Put those three together and you’ve got something downright irresistible—especially when you pile them onto a pizza. Honestly, it was only a matter of time before this one happened. My kids love ranch so much they’ll drizzle it on just about anything, so using it as the base for a pizza felt like a very natural next step.

This chicken bacon ranch pizza starts with a homemade ranch dressing that’s creamy, herby, and full of flavor. It then gets topped with tender chicken, crispy bacon, lots of melty cheese, and just enough red onion to add a little bite.

I love this pizza recipe because it works for just about any occasion. It’s easy enough for a weeknight family dinner, when everyone’s hungry and you want something fun. But it also feels right at home on a game day spread, especially for the Super Bowl, when finger foods and crowd-pleasers are the name of the game. Slice it up, drizzle on a little extra ranch, and watch it disappear!

What is chicken bacon ranch pizza made of?

Chicken bacon ranch pizza is made with pizza dough, ranch dressing, cooked chicken, crispy bacon, mozzarella, cheddar, and red onion. This version uses homemade ranch for extra flavor.

Can you use store-bought ranch dressing instead of homemade?

Yes, store-bought ranch dressing works if you’re short on time. However, this homemade ranch adds a fresh flavor that really makes this pizza special!

What kind of chicken works best for chicken bacon ranch pizza?

Any cooked chicken works well, including rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken, air-fryer chicken, or even frozen grilled chicken strips. Just be sure it’s sliced or chopped into bite-sized pieces.

Can you make chicken bacon ranch pizza ahead of time?

You can prep the toppings ahead of time, including the ranch dressing, bacon, and chicken. Assemble and bake the pizza just before serving for the best texture. You want it nice and hot and bubbly when you're ready to eat it!

How long does leftover chicken bacon ranch pizza last in the fridge?

Any leftover slices can be refrigerated for up to three days. Reheat them in a hot oven or air fryer until the crust is crisp and the cheese is bubbly again.

Ingredients

For the ranch dressing:

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives, plus more for garnish
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, grated

For the pizza:

  • 4 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced cooked chicken (about 10 ounces)
  • 6 Tbsp. grated parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces)
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil, plus more for brushing
  • All-purpose flour, for dusting
  • 1 lb. store-bought or homemade pizza dough, at room temperature
  • 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

Directions

    1. Step 1For the ranch dressing: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, chives, dill, Worcestershire sauce, white vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
    2. Step 2For the pizza: About 30 minutes before you're ready to bake, place a pizza stone, baking steel, or upside-down baking sheet on the upper third rack of the oven and preheat it to 500°F.
    3. Step 3In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat, flipping occasionally, until brown and crispy, 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool; chop into small pieces.
    4. Step 4Remove 2 tablespoons of the hot bacon drippings from the pan to a large bowl. Stir in the garlic powder. Add the chicken and 2 tablespoons of the grated parmesan cheese and toss until well coated.
    5. Step 5Place a 14-inch piece of heavy-duty foil on top of an upside-down half-sheet pan. Lightly sprinkle the foil with flour.
    6. Step 6On a lightly floured surface, cut the dough in half and shape it into tight balls. Place the balls about 3 inches apart on the surface, cover, and let rest until the dough has relaxed and springs back slowly when gently pressed with a finger, about 10 minutes.
    7. Step 7Pull and stretch one of the dough balls into a 10-inch round and transfer it to the foil on the prepared baking sheet. (Keep the other dough ball covered.)
    8. Step 8Sprinkle the surface of the pizza with 2 tablespoons of the parmesan. Spread ½ cup of the ranch dressing over the parmesan, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the mozzarella, ¼ cup of the cheddar, half the onion, half the chicken, and half the bacon. Top with another ¼ cup of the cheddar.
    9. Step 9Using the upside-down baking sheet as a pizza peel, slide the pizza with the foil onto the preheated baking stone in the oven. Bake until the crust is browned and the cheese is bubbling, 12 to 16 minutes. Brush the crust with olive oil. Drizzle the pizza with more ranch (or serve it on the side for dipping) and sprinkle with some chives. Repeat with the remaining dough and ingredients.
