Enjoy a taste of Italy with a crowd-pleasing Aperol spritz! A drink that's been all the rage at happy hours for years, this champagne cocktail is slightly bitter, delightfully sweet, and perfectly bubbly. Plus, it is made with just three ingredients! Forget about shaking, stirring, or waiting; you won't even need a cocktail shaker or any special syrups for this one. Just pour it over ice, and it's ready to be enjoyed. Looking for something different than your usual mimosa for brunch? An Aperol spritz will be your new go-to. It's easy to make and perfect for sipping any time.

What is an Aperol spritz made of?

There is nothing better than an easy, impressive cocktail, and an Aperol spritz is the prime example! All you need is Aperol, sparkling wine, and sparkling water. The orange garnish is just for bonus points! Oh, and have plenty of ice on hand. A refreshing beverage like this must be cold.

Are Aperol and Campari the same thing?

While they are both owned by the Campari group, these bitter, vibrantly hued aperitifs are different spirits with distinct flavor profiles. Campari, the star in a Campari spritz, is bright cherry red, with a strong bittersweet and herbaceous flavor. It also has more alcohol than Aperol. Aperol is a great introduction to amaros, Italy’s famous class of bitter alcohols. It is made with gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona, giving it a slight bittersweet and citrusy flavor. It can be a bit harsh to drink something like this straight-up, so a spritz is the perfect way to enjoy it!
