Ingredients: 1 1/2 c. sugar; 1/4 c. cornstarch; 1/4 tsp. kosher salt; 3 c. whole milk; 4 large egg yolks; 6 1/2 oz. bittersweet chocolate, broken into pieces; 2 tbsp. salted butter; 2 tsp. vanilla extract; 16 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreos), crushed; Mixed gummy worms and candies, for decorating; 6 vanilla wafer sandwich cookies (such as Pepperidge Farm Milanos); Edible marker, for decorating

Step 1Combine the sugar, cornstarch, and salt in a medium saucepan. Add the milk and egg yolks and whisk together. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring continuously with a rubber spatula, as the mixture comes to a simmer and becomes thick like pudding, 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the chocolate, butter, and vanilla until smooth and fully incorporated.

Step 2Divide the pudding mixture between six 10-ounce glass tumblers and chill for about 1 hour.

Step 3Top the pudding cups the crushed sandwich cookies. Add the gummies, partially burying them in the crushed cookies, as if they are emerging from the cookie dirt.

Step 4Write "R.I.P." on the vanilla sandwich cookies with an edible marker, then place them in the glasses so that they stand upright and resemble tombstones.
