Michelada with Crushed Tortilla Chip Rim

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. adobo sauce (from a can of chipotle peppers)
  • 1 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. crushed lime-flavored tortilla chips
  • 1/4 cup clam-flavored tomato juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • Juice of 1/2 lime, plus lime wedges, for serving
  • 6 dashes hot sauce
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 1 12-ounce bottle cold light beer

Directions

    1. Step 1Mix the adobo sauce with the corn syrup and pour onto a rimmed plate. Spread the crushed chips on another plate. Dip the rim of a glass in the adobo mixture, then in the chips. 
    2. Step 2Add the tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, hot sauce and a pinch of pepper to the rimmed glass. Slowly pour in the beer. Serve with lime wedges.
