Forget the first day of fall on the calendar. For pumpkin spice fans, the season begins the moment the Pumpkin Spice Latte hits the menu. It's the unofficial signal that comfy sweaters, changing leaves, and everything else to love about this upcoming season is well on the way.
But if you've been counting down the days until you can swap your usual iced coffee for a warm mug loaded with pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and all the cozy vibes, there’s good news: The wait is almost over!
When Does the PSL Come Back?
The PSL has become something of a seasonal tradition since Starbucks first introduced it in 2003. In recent years, the drink has returned earlier and earlier, turning the latter part of summer into an unofficial kickoff to fall.
Starbucks has officially announced the return of its iconic PSL alongside its Fall 2026 menu. This year, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte returns Tuesday, August 25, 2026. That's right: You don't even have to wait until September to get your first sip of the season. For comparison, Starbucks' 2025 PSL returned on August 26.
What’s on the Starbucks Fall 2026 Menu?
While PSL may be the star of the show, Starbucks has plenty of other seasonal favorites returning to the menu this year as well. The 2026 lineup includes several pumpkin beverages including an Iced Pumpkin Cream Shaken Espresso, Pumpkin Spice Chai, and Iced Pumpkin Cream Matcha. The Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino are also returning for another season.
But pumpkin isn't the only flavor getting the fall treatment: Starbucks is introducing Iced Banana Bread Latte and Iced Banana Bread Chai, bringing those warm, bakery-inspired flavors to your cup. There are also returning pecan-flavored drinks for anyone who likes their autumn coffee with a little nutty sweetness. You’ll also want to try the all-new Chaider, a cozy mashup of chai and cider.
In other words, there's plenty to look forward to this fall!
