There’s no competition: Sofia has the cutest back-to-school style!
Since her baby boy is due at the end of September, Alex Drummond has decided to enroll her 20-month-old daughter, Sofia, in Mother’s Day Out—a part-time childcare program—so her postpartum experience can be as hassle-free as possible. While spending the final weeks of her pregnancy nesting and getting the nursery ready, Alex has also been busy preparing for the upcoming “school” year by stocking up on Sofia’s supplies, including the sweetest monogrammed backpack and lunchbox, plus an adorably scholastic wardrobe.
So, when Sofia was scheduled to meet her new teacher the day before the fall session began, Alex dressed her little one in the most fitting outfit for the big occasion. On her Instagram Story, Alex posted heartwarming photos of her daughter all decked out in her darling school-themed attire. “One of her many precious @cecilandlou outfits in the lineup for this week 🍎,” Alex noted. In the pictures, Sofia is rocking a baby-blue graphic shirt with a red apple printed in the center, which is monogrammed with her initials and affixed with a pink-and-white bow that perfectly matches the gingham pattern on her shorts.
But the coordination doesn’t stop there! Sofia’s shirt is trimmed in a ruffled neckline and ruffled sleeves that mirror the ruffled detailing on her white socks (that’s triple the ruffles!). And she’s sporting a pair of white sneakers from Stride Rite that are wrapped in a bow, which unifies the bows on her shirt and shorts. To top it all off, Sofia’s hair is gathered in a chic topknot that embraces her cute curls.
Even though the shoes were a seamless addition to Sofia’s fashionable meet-the-teacher outfit, they happen to be Alex’s “favorite” shoes for her toddler. “They are amazing for early walkers and soooo cute, and easy to put on bc VELCRO 🙏,” Alex described of the accessory. In fact, Alex loves the shoes so much that she went ahead and snagged two different sizes! “She’s in size 4 but about to grow out of them so we went ahead and bought size 5 as well!” Alex said.
While modeling her school style on the front porch, Sofia was all smiles. “Ready for a fun year!!!!!” Alex exclaimed. As if dressing Sofia in a school-inspired outfit wasn’t enough, Alex even got her front door ready for the exciting milestone: Across the wreath on her front door, she suspended a pastel-colored garland featuring two apples and a school building in the middle.
Judging by her first back-to-school outfit, we can confidently say that Sofia is getting an A+ in fashion at Mother’s Day Out!
