Who doesn’t love a dinner that doesn’t require every pot, pan, cutting board, and spoon in the kitchen? Paige Drummond recently shared a pasta recipe on Instagram and it checks just about every weeknight box: creamy, cozy, easy, and—most importantly—made in one pot.
Paige posted a photo of two bowls of the pasta, which looked delicious in that very specific cozy, comfort-food kind of way. “I made this pasta recipe I found on TikTok for dinner and it is a 10/10!” she wrote. “Sharing the recipe in the next story because it’s soooo good.”
The recipe came from TikTok creator @heresyourbite, who called it a One-Pot Sausage and Leek Pasta. It starts with Italian sausage, butter, leeks, garlic, and red pepper flakes, then gets a little extra flavor from white wine, chicken broth, heavy cream, parmesan, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. There are also peas in the mix, which makes the whole thing feel fresh and springy instead of too heavy. Pasta math!
It makes sense that Paige would be drawn to this kind of dinner. She’s always seemed to appreciate simple, comforting food, and of course she comes from a family where pasta, sausage, and a generous amount of grated cheese are always welcome at the table.
The Pioneer Woman has plenty of easy pasta dinners of her own, including a beloved bowtie pasta with sausage, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes, and parmesan. Paige’s version is different, but it has the same general spirit: a hearty, simple dinner that looks like it took more effort than it actually did.
And really, that might be the highest compliment a weeknight pasta can receive.
