Hovering over a hot stove for hours is the last thing you want when summertime hits. Either you want to be outside in the sunshine or inside cool as a cucumber in the air conditioning. But neither of those scenarios is conducive to getting dinner on the table. Alas, everyone still needs to be fed! And that’s where these 30-minute summer dinners come in. In a half hour or less (as little as 15 minutes, in fact), you can make them from start to finish and go about your evening.

Call them lazy meals if you want, but you’ll also call them delicious! These summer dinners make the most of seasonal produce while also not being super complicated. Take cherry tomato pasta, for example. It’s positively bursting with fresh flavor thanks to the tomatoes and basil, but it’s also a 30-minute meal. Or make pizza bites when your garden is completely overrun with zucchini. You’ll be happy, the kids will be happy, and all will be right with the world.

And remember, the stove isn’t the only method of cooking. Take advantage of those fast and flavorful grill recipes—that smoky goodness isn’t just for weekends. Or if it’s rainy, pull out your air fryer. It won’t make your kitchen super hot, and everything will be done faster than your kids can say “I’m hungry!” Summer dinners you can make in 30 minutes or less are the way to save your sanity this season, so go ahead and try one tonight.
