Are you ready for some football!? Well, the soccer kind of football, that is. The World Cup is finally here, and for a few glorious weeks, fans around the world will be watching their favorite teams compete. That makes a really good excuse to have people over for a watch party or two, doesn’t it? And you should probably have some World Cup game day foods for snacking. After all, cheering can certainly work up an appetite!

So what should you serve? Well, you can consider two winning strategies. You can either go with a theme and serve food from the countries playing, or you can serve game day foods you might make for a football tailgate. It makes sense if you think about it! Both sports are called football, and North America is hosting this year, so it really is on-theme to serve favorites like wings and party dips.

Also consider that it’s summertime, so you can pull out your favorite grill recipes and lean into the seasonal produce that’s so abundant right now. Anything that you might enjoy for a backyard cookout is fair game for a watch party. Remember, the goooooooal (sorry, had to do it!) is to have fun, so any snack that makes a crowd happy will work just fine for a World Cup watch party. The bigger question is: Who are you rooting for?
