When Mother’s Day arrives, you want everything to be about her. You don’t want her to lift a finger, and rightfully so! She does so much for the family that she deserves way more than one day to honor her. But one day is all you’ve got, and after getting her a thoughtful gift and trying to wrangle the kids, making her breakfast in bed or a Mother’s Day brunch can feel nearly impossible.

But if you’re strategic about it, there are plenty of Mother’s Day recipes for husbands to pull off. Plenty of these are kid-approved recipes where little hands can get involved (and take the credit, but that’s okay 😉). Let them tear store-bought doughnuts apart for bread pudding or have them pop open a biscuit can while you make gravy. (A can of biscuits can make monkey bread or air fryer doughnuts, too!)

You’ll find plenty of other store-bought shortcuts included, as well as make-ahead breakfast casserole ideas. Because if you assemble them the night before, you’ll be less frazzled in the morning since all you need to do is pop your dish in the oven. It gives you more time to get the kids ready and pour her a cup of coffee before you head in for the big reveal. It will absolutely make her day, no matter what you decide to cook, so pick what you think she’ll like best and get ready to impress her!
