In a recent Instagram clip teasing a new Drummond Ranch vlog, Ree caught Ladd in the act of using one very familiar tool for a very ranch-specific job. There he was, bundled up in the snow, cutting open a bale of hay...with a Pioneer Woman serrated dinner knife. Not a ranch knife. Not some rugged, seen-it-all pocket blade. A pretty, cream-colored kitchen knife from Ree's own cutlery line.
"Is that a Pioneer Woman knife?" she asked, zooming in for proof. "That serrated edge is good," Ladd replied, completely unfazed, before mentioning he actually has two of them. "I'd wondered where that went," Ree mused. Honestly, the calm confidence of a man slicing into hay with a steak knife he borrowed from the kitchen is something to behold! đ
And Ree's followers (many who apparently have similar-minded husbands) were quick to chime in. "I love the fact he's using your knife!! My husband would've done that as well," one person wrote. Another added, "It's a steak knife! Perfect." And one follower said that her husband is always taking her kitchen stuff for yard work too.
Still, it somehow feels like a moment that could only happen at Drummond Ranch. Snow on the ground, cattle in the background, and a Pioneer Woman knife bravely living a double life. Somewhere between dinner prep and bale cutting, it found its calling!
The moral of the story: If you're missing a kitchen tool, don't panic. It might just be out doing honest work in the pasture. đ¤
