A few weeks after Paige Drummond introduced her new puppy, Murphy, to Drummond Ranch, they decided to pack up their bags and head back for round two! Even though it’s been a little less than a month since Murphy met his grandma, Ree Drummond, and toured the rolling plains where his mom grew up, that didn’t stop Paige from planning a trip to the ranch shortly after!
I mean, who can blame them? Surrounded by wide-open pastures and friendly farm animals (plus all of Ree Drummond’s pooches!), Drummond Ranch is practically dog heaven. With all that space to run around and play, Paige’s childhood home has to be up there on the list of every dog’s dream getaway.
During their latest visit, Paige, her new pup, and her husband seemed to have a blast soaking up all the fresh air and natural beauty that the ranch offers. A major highlight for the family? Exploring the pastures and visiting the cattle!
Paige took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes shots of her sweet family stroll around Drummond Ranch. The first photo Paige uploaded shows Murphy proudly leading the way—with his head held high and without a leash slowing him down—as his dad trails behind him. “Ranch walks! 🐾,” Paige captioned the first photo.
At one point during their leisurely walk, the family of three had a few newcomers make a cameo. In the next photo Paige posted on her Instagram story, Murphy (with a leash on this time!) is standing in front of three horses, curiously observing them while they roam around and graze on the grass. “Murph met some new friends 🤎,” Paige shared with her followers. If we had to guess, Murphy is probably wondering why these big creatures are the same chocolate-brown color as him, yet they’re nearly 10 times his size!
While Paige didn’t share any more photos from her ranch visit, we have a feeling returning to the city of Dallas will be a bit of a reality check for Murphy!
