Alex Drummond had been looking forward to this 4th of July for one very specific reason: her daughter, Sofia, was finally old enough to enjoy it a little!
Last year, Sofia was still so tiny that the holiday was more about being held, napping when she could, and wearing whatever festive outfit her mom picked out for her. But this year was different! Sofia is walking now, and from the photos Alex shared, she got to take in a whole Pawhuska 4th of July weekend on her own two little feet. (Well, some of the time. Being carried by your mom, dad, aunt, or grandmother is still a very acceptable form of transportation. 😂)
Alex shared a collection of photos from the weekend on Instagram, including pictures of Sofia downtown near the Drummond Ranch truck, sitting at The Merc, standing outside church, and spending time with the family. In one photo, Ree is holding Sofia under the “God Bless America” banner, which is about as Pawhuska as it gets!
“Rain or shine, had the happiest weekend celebrating the Fourth with my people!! 250 🇺🇸❤️” Alex wrote. “Can’t wait for baby brother to join the fun next year 💙🎇”
Sofia was dressed for every bit of it, too. She wore a sweet blue patriotic outfit on the Fourth and followed that with a red gingham dress for church on Sunday. George made an appearance as well, wearing his own red, white, and blue garland, because dogs in this family are certainly not exempt from holiday attire!
Next year, Alex and Mauricio will have two little ones at the celebration, since their baby boy is due in September. But this year, Sofia got to be the little person everyone watched toddle around Pawhuska. And it looks like she loved every minute of it!
