There’s a lot going on in Alex Drummond and Mauricio Scott’s house these days, between little Sofia toddling around, a baby boy on the way, and Mauricio apparently being greeted like a celebrity every time he walks in from work.
That last part is the best part, of course. 😂
Alex shared a sweet Father’s Day post for Mauricio on Instagram and the photo speaks for itself. Mauricio is standing outside with Sofia on his shoulders and she looks completely at home all the way up there. She may not know it yet, but that’s prime dad real estate. Ask any baby!
“Didn’t think it was possible to love you more, then I watched you become Sofia’s dada!” Alex wrote. “Happy Father’s Day @mauricioscott03 ❤️”
Alex also shared the same photo on her Instagram stories, where she gave a little peek into their everyday life at home: “Want to bottle up the way Sofia lights up and squeals ‘dada’ when he walks in from work every evening 😭🥺 Thank you Lord for the DADS!!!!!”
Anyone who has ever had a baby in the “dada” phase knows exactly what she means. The door opens, Dad appears, and suddenly it’s the greatest event of the day. Never mind that he was probably just sitting in traffic five minutes earlier. To Sofia, he has arrived!
It’s been so sweet watching Mauricio become Sofia’s dad, and there’s more joy ahead for their family soon. Alex and Mauricio are expecting a baby boy this September, which means Mauricio’s girl-dad chapter is about to get a new (and very exciting!) little twist.
For now, Sofia seems perfectly happy with her current arrangement: sitting up high, holding on tight, and making sure her dada knows he’s very loved. 🥰
