Alex Drummond may be ready to be done with pregnancy. She is not, however, ready for an August baby. There’s jewelry at stake here, people!
With baby boy’s September arrival getting closer, Alex hosted another “Naptime Q&A” on Instagram and was asked whether there was any chance he could make an early appearance this month. “Definitelyyyy won’t be an August baby,” Alex wrote, before adding one very important caveat: “At least I really hope not because I already ordered a necklace with the September birthstone 😂😂🫣.”
Well, there you have it. Baby boy has his instructions!
Of course, Alex has been rooting for September since long before any birthstone purchases were made. She previously explained why she wanted a fall due date, sharing that September is her favorite time of year thanks to football season, fall activities, and—hopefully!—slightly more pleasant weather. “Honestly just for the vibes!!!!!” she said at the time.
And after spending much of this pregnancy in the Dallas heat, those cooler-weather dreams are probably sounding better by the day. Alex has already joked that anyone asking how many children she wants should ask again after summer, and the home stretch has officially started to feel like, well, the home stretch.
When asked about her worst symptoms lately, Alex said things had been “pretty bearable” until the past week. Now she’s “sleeping bad, way more fatigued,” feeling more pressure and discomfort, and dealing with “the freaking acid reflux!!!!”
So yes, she’s tired. Yes, she’s uncomfortable. But if this little guy could just hang tight until the calendar flips to September, his mother—and her new necklace—would really appreciate it. 😂
