Clogs are having a moment right now, and even Alex Drummond has officially joined the club—but not without a little joking first. Her latest obsession? A pair of ultra comfy clogs that she admits look suspiciously like… hooves. Yes, hooves.
In her Instagram Stories, Alex shared that she had been hesitant to jump on the clog bandwagon at first. “I can’t unsee that they look like hooves,” she joked while showing off her brown pair. But after finally giving them a try, she quickly changed her tune. According to Alex, they’re incredibly comfortable, easy to slip on, and somehow still manage to look “cute-ish.” In fact, “they’ve been my FAVORITE purchase this winter,” she says.
The shoes in question are the viral Casual Clog from Rothy's, a brand already known for their signature machine-washable flats and eco-friendly knit designs. Alex originally picked up a darker brown pair a few months ago and says they’ve become her favorite purchase of the season. Judging by the way she’s been wearing them around the house (feet kicked up and proudly displayed), it’s safe to say they’ve earned a permanent spot in her daily rotation.
But the story doesn’t end there. Alex recently decided she needed a second pair for warmer weather, ordering a lighter raffia-knit version that feels perfect for summer. The breezy neutral color looks a bit like woven straw and pairs easily with everything from relaxed lounge sets to casual weekend outfits.
And while Alex fully acknowledges their slightly hoof-like silhouette, she’s leaning into the joke. In fact, she even asked her followers to weigh in on the debate: are the clogs cute… or a hard pass? The results seemed pretty mixed, but Alex didn’t seem too concerned either way. Her verdict? “They still look like hooves, but cute hooves.” 😂
