While Alex Drummond enjoys sticking to a schedule, her daily life is anything but boring. In fact, there’s never a dull moment! Since Alex spends most of her spare time playing with her curious one-year-old daughter, Sofia, and fun-loving golden retriever, George, every day brings moments of spontaneous joy that you simply can’t plan for. There’s one part of Alex’s daily routine that’s been making her laugh lately, and it takes place right before she changes Sofia’s diaper.
In an Instagram Story Alex posted over the weekend, she captured Sofia’s hilarious everyday habit in action. “New trick: coming and laying down on the diaper mat when it’s diaper change time 😂😂,” Alex shared. The video that Alex uploaded shows Sofia crawling toward her brown leather diaper mat, which is splayed out on the navy-and-cream carpet, placing her hand on the mat for support, and rolling onto her back (even though her aim is a little off!) with her feet in a butterfly pose.
As Sofia lays there patiently, moving her hand across the leather material, Alex lets out a hearty laugh and exclaims to Sofia, “It’s diaper-change time!” Still waiting calmly, Sofia lifts the mat up a few inches off the ground and looks back at George who’s standing behind her as if she’s wondering when she’ll get her mom’s iPhone. “May or may not be motivated by the fact that I hand her my phone when I change her diapers to get her to hold still LOL,” Alex added to her caption.
Although we can’t see George’s reaction, we have a feeling he’d be proud of his little sister’s new trick. Maybe he’s been teaching Sofia a few of his moves! Or perhaps Sofia has been taking notes from her older brother while observing him from afar. Regardless, Sofia’s latest pre-diaper-change habit is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
