One thing about Alex Drummond’s dog George is he never misses a begging shift. Not once. Not ever!
Alex recently shared a couple of Instagram story clips of her three-year-old golden retriever posted up right beside baby Sofia during mealtime, and it’s pretty clear he knows exactly where he needs to be. In the video, Sofia sits in her high chair working on a snack while George plants himself next to her, eyes locked in, waiting very patiently for his moment. And the on-screen caption says it all: “The way to George’s heart.”
The funny part is how polite he is about the whole thing. He doesn’t try to sneak a bite or grab anything off the tray—he just sits there like he’s on duty, silently hoping Sofia decides to share. And judging by the clip, she usually does! 😂 She seems to think the whole exchange is hilarious, while he’s just very happy to be included.
In another moment from the same mealtime, you can see just how locked in George is, barely blinking as he tracks every move Sofia makes with her snack. His methods aren’t subtle, but they are very effective!
At this point, it feels less like begging and more like a little system they’ve worked out together. Sofia gets a snack, George takes his post, and everybody wins. With another baby on the way, the four-legged eldest child might want to start preparing now. That’s twice the high chairs, twice the snacks, and—if George plays his cards right—twice the opportunity!
