Since Paige Drummond grew up on the ranch in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, she spent her childhood fixing up fences, doctoring cattle, and handling horses. And when she pushed pause on her ranch duties to attend University of Arkansas, she eventually found her way back to Drummond Ranch in her post-grad years. Now, Paige lives with her husband in Dallas (just a quick drive away from her older sister, Alex!), but that upbringing is still very much in her blood! Paige makes a consistent effort to visit the place where she grew up and every time she heads back home, she gets to relive her country roots.
Paige’s most recent trip back to Drummond Ranch was just that! Based on the photos she uploaded to her Instagram Story, Paige spent a lot of time with animals—the horses and cows, plus a new addition: Murphy, her puppy! “A good few days back home 🤎,” Paige wrote in the caption. Standing beneath a spacious blue sky with the horses all saddled up, Paige probably felt right at home. We have a feeling Paige also reunited with Pickle, the playful horse who mirrored her every move when she stopped by the ranch last fall.
Another highlight from Paige’s visit? Feeding the calves! On her Instagram Story, Paige posted a sweet photo of two baby cows sticking their noses up at her. “Bottle babies 🥰,” Paige captioned the cute picture.
Her mom, Ree Drummond, gave a bit more context. “Paige helped me feed the calves this morning,” Ree said in the caption of an Instagram Reel. The clip, which Paige recorded, shows Ree stirring up a milky mixture and pouring it into bottles before stepping outside to feed the seemingly ravenous calves who couldn’t get enough of the drink—and who might have mistaken Ree for their mom! “You should see it when it’s just me 😂,” Ree continued in her caption. “Catch the Gremlins reference if you’re over the age of 48. It’s a calves’ world out here these days!”
As it turns out, Paige isn’t the only one in her little family who’s drawn to ranch life! Murphy was all smiles—and who can blame him? With all that space to run around and play, what dog wouldn’t love Drummond Ranch? A photo of a grinning Murphy sitting happily in the grass is all the evidence we need. “Murph loves the ranch!” Paige added to her Instagram Story. In fact, when Murphy made his first trip to the ranch, it looked like it was love at first sight! We suspect this is just the beginning of all the mom-and-son ranch visits to come!
