Paige Drummond may live in Texas now, but Oklahoma is still waiting patiently in the wings!
Paige joined Ree Drummond for a Walmart live stream to celebrate the new Pioneer Woman home collection, and between all the bedding and decorating talk, the two answered a few questions from viewers. One person wanted to know how Paige feels about living in Dallas after spending nearly two years working on the family ranch. The newlywed didn’t have to think very hard about her answer!
“Oh, I do love living in Dallas,” Paige said. “We love it. It’s great. We have a lot of friends there.”
Dallas also puts Paige and her husband, David Andersen, close to Alex, Mauricio, Sofia, and the baby they’re expecting. Sister time and aunt time without a long drive? That’s a pretty good arrangement!
“It’s nice being close to Alex and Sofia and baby boy on the way,” Paige said. “So, it’s great.”
Still, Paige doesn’t think Dallas will necessarily be their forever home. When she and David look farther down the road, they both picture themselves back in Oklahoma. “I think both of us think Oklahoma will be home in the long run,” she said. “But for right now, we’re enjoying [Dallas].”
Naturally, Ree heard the words “long run” and requested a more precise timeline. (Moms are very good at follow-up questions.) “Define ‘long run,’” she said.
“Like maybe after we have a few kids,” Paige replied. This was apparently not the immediate answer Ree was hoping for. “After you have a few kids? That’s a long time,” she said, before asking, “How many kids are you gonna have?”
“I don’t know! Oh my gosh,” Paige answered. “Not any yet.”
So there you have it: No moving date, no baby announcement, and no reason to start packing boxes. Paige and David are happy in Dallas for now, where they’ve settled into married life and recently expanded their household with a chocolate Lab named Murphy. Before that, Paige spent more than a year working as a cowgirl on the ranch, and she and David returned there for their May 2025 wedding because, as Paige said at the time, she “couldn’t see it happening anywhere else.”
Ree briefly noted that Ladd loved having Paige home and was sorry to see her go, but that’s another story for another day. (And oh, there’s definitely a story there!)
For now, Dallas is home. But once Paige and David have “a few kids”—however many that turns out to be—it sounds like the road may eventually lead them back to Oklahoma!
