With balmy temperatures, longer days, and a backdrop of brightly colored blooms, spring is a very welcome change from the dark, dreary days of winter. After spending months holed up inside, many people choose to celebrate the season by spending as much time outside as they possibly can, soaking up all the fresh air and extra sunshine. While there are plenty of ways to embrace the beautiful weather, Paige Drummond’s Friday night plans may have just trumped them all!
This past weekend, Ree Drummond’s second oldest shared how she spent her Friday evening with her husband David and Murphy the puppy: Instead of watching TV on the couch, Paige combined both of these common weekend activities into one cozy outdoor hangout at home.
According to the photo Paige posted on Instagram, she gave her patio a genius transformation by pulling over a white couch, adding a white coffee table, and setting up a flat-screen TV, so she and her husband could watch the Masters Tournament outside. Since Friday night wouldn’t be complete without a refreshing beverage, Paige poured herself an iced-cold glass of what looks like a homemade mojito, garnished with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint, and David cracked open a beer, which he kept cool in a koozie. Paige even brought some ambiance to her outdoor lounge by lighting a candle and displaying it on the coffee table!
Murphy also joined the fun! While Paige and David sipped their drinks and kept up with the men’s professional golf championship, their adorable chocolate lab was right by their feet. In the picture on Paige’s Instagram Story, Murphy is sitting between the coffee table and couch with his mouth wide open, panting. While we don’t know exactly what Murphy was up to before Paige snapped this photo, we imagine it had something to do with running around the yard, maybe sniffing all the fresh spring grass, or digging for new sticks. Whatever it was, he was probably just as excited about the warm weather as his parents!
