Paige Drummond and her best friends might live miles apart, but the distance between them is just an excuse to plan more trips together! A month after Paige touched down in New York City to cheer on her co-maid of honor, Anna, in the United Airlines NYC Half Marathon, she had another heartwarming reunion with a few of her close college friends. This past weekend, Paige and her pals enjoyed a scenic stay at Drummond Ranch, and this time, the significant others made the guest list!
Based on the photos Paige posted on Instagram, the crew spent the weekend soaking up the sunset view, frolicking with farm animals, and lounging on picnic blankets. The highlight, as it seems from Paige’s post, was an outdoor happy hour that took place on the rural plains of Paige’s childhood home in Pawhuska. Taking advantage of the ranch’s wide-open spaces, the group packed coolers, parked pickup trucks, spread out cozy blankets, and poured themselves a round of drinks, which they savored while basking in the natural beauty around them.
During golden hour, the girls sipped beverages from Red Solo cups (beers for the guys) while gathering around the pickup trucks. Once the sun sunk lower in the sky, Paige caught a photo of her friends strolling around the expanse of greenery with the honorary member of the group: a cute Labrador retriever. A little later, the sunset painted the sky in vibrant strokes of gold and orange, so Paige and her friends (and the pup!) took some quick snapshots on the blankets against the colorful backdrop. According to the final photo in Paige’s carousel, a group shot, a herd of cattle even made a cameo!
Like any girls’ getaway, the attire was an important part of their packing list. Everyone’s outfits coordinated well with the rustic setting and laid-back occasion. Paige, who’s got a lot of experience dressing for ranch life, wore a cozy crewneck emblazoned with the American flag, straight-leg jeans, and cowgirl boots. Her friends were also clad in denim, comfy cardigans, and boots.
As it turns out, this end-of-April trip was just the preview, not a one-time visit! Drummond Ranch might just be Paige’s go-to destination this summer. “Pawhuska summer incoming! 🧡,” Paige captioned her post. Like a true country girl, Paige looks so at home on the ranch, so we can’t wait to live vicariously through her future visits!
