When Alex Drummond traveled to Sedona, Arizona, for a family trip, she packed a suitcase full of cute outfits for her 16-month-old daughter, Sofia, to wear on and in between their scenic hiking sessions. But after her little girl broke out into a rash, Alex’s plans to dress Sofia in her adorable new wardrobe went out the window. To make sure Sofia stayed comfortable, Alex decided that pajamas would be her daughter’s designated uniform. Luckily, at the tail-end of their trip, Sofia’s rash cleared up enough that she could sport one of her brand-new vacation looks!
On one of the last nights of their family getaway, Alex posted a video of Sofia living her best life, clearly unaffected by the “jarring experience” a few days earlier. In the clip, Sofia—whose rash looks pretty much gone—is banging the table in an outdoor courtyard. “It’s Sofia’s world, we’re just living in it,” Alex captioned the video. While the red rock backdrop and bright blue skies might grab your attention, the focal point of the footage is, without a doubt, Sofia in her outfit: a precious matching set in an indigo gingham print. “We’ve been keeping Sofia in mostly jammies to keep her comfortable with her rash, so I’m happy that now we can bust out the cute outfits I planned for the trip 🥹,” Alex shared. The gingham set comes with a scoop-neck, sleeveless top featuring a ruffled hem. On the back of the shirt, the ruffled fabric extends to the neckline and frames a trail of snap-on buttons for easy dressing. The pants are covered in the same pattern and trimmed with the same ruffled detailing—and they’re just as comfortable to wear and easy take on or off, thanks to an elastic waistband.
