Things are looking up for Alex Drummond and her little family. Literally!
After a pretty stressful start to their Sedona trip, the Scotts finally got to do the fun part of vacation, and the first photos Alex shared look so beautiful. Just one day after opening up about Sofia’s rash and their urgent care visit, Alex posted a much happier update from Arizona—and thankfully, baby girl seems to be feeling a whole lot better.
The adventure started with a hike. Alex shared that the family headed out to Devil’s Bridge in Sedona, and it really did look like a full-on outing. Sofia rode along in a hiking backpack, which Alex called “worth every penny.” Mauricio’s brother Carlos took a turn carrying her, too, and Alex joked in one video that she was carrying a baby too—just not in the same way. (She is pregnant, after all!)
And Sofia, to her credit, really seemed to roll with it! In one sweet update, Alex noted that “rash didn’t slow her down today!!” There was even a snack break with a pouch and a gorgeous red rock view behind them, plus one very cute shot of Mauricio sitting against the canyon wall with Sofia on his back. Alex captioned that one, “2 peas in a pod!!!!” There’s nothing like a girl dad and his little princess!
There were a few funny moments mixed in, too. In one video, Alex joked that nobody warned her they would have to basically scale a canyon, and you could see her carefully making her way down the rocks. Very brave, especially considering she’s also growing a baby boy right now! By the end, though, everybody seemed to be in one piece, if a little tired.
Which brings us to the very relatable next chapter: nap time. Alex later posted a smiling photo of herself pushing the stroller and wrote, “Out on the town!! (Post-2 hr hike recovery nap)”
And then came dinner, which is where Alex shared the most reassuring update of all. “Rash is soooo much better 😎🙏” she posted alongside a photo of Sofia sitting outside in the cutest pink hooded outfit. In another shot from the same meal, she simply wrote, “Dinner!” and tagged Canyon Breeze, with the red rocks glowing in the background. Not a bad place to wrap up a big day!
Between the gorgeous views, the family time, and the very welcome update that Sofia’s rash is doing so much better, it looks like the Sedona trip is getting back on track. And after the way it started, that has to feel pretty darn good!
