Sofia Marie has been stealing hearts since the day she arrived!
There are cute baby pictures, and then there are Sofia Marie baby pictures. Are we biased? Absolutely. But look at those arm rolls and tell us we’re wrong.
It feels like approximately five minutes ago that Alex and Mauricio were bringing Sofia home from the hospital. She was all bundled up, brand new, impossibly tiny, and already making the entire Drummond family turn into one giant puddle. Now here she is, basically a year and a half old, toddling around, making faces, stealing hearts, and preparing to become a big sister in September. How did that happen? Truly, someone needs to speak to the manager of time!
Before there’s another sweet baby in the Scott crew, it only feels right to take a little walk down memory lane with Sofia. Because long before she was giggling, waving, eating snacks, and even standing (!!!) on her own two feet, she was the tiniest little pookie head with squishy cheeks, sleepy smiles, and a whole family wrapped around her itty-bitty finger.
From her first days at home to ranch visits, holiday moments, milestone photos, and snuggles with her grandparents, Sofia has given everyone plenty of precious memories already. Sofia arrived just a few days before Christmas, and Ree wasted no time declaring her perfect. That feels like a very normal grandmother reaction, except in this case, there’s photo evidence to back her up!

Her First Rodeo
Was Sofia only a few weeks old when Alex and Mauricio took her to a rodeo in Fort Worth? Yes. Did Ree have grandmotherly concerns? Also yes. At least this little Drummond girl had ear protection!
A Hint Of a Smile
Before the big gummy grins came this tiny little smile, mostly in the eyes. Ree said she melted “on the dang spot,” when this happened, because, obviously.
Four Generations
Sofia’s first Easter weekend came with extra special family time when Ree’s mom and Betsy got to soak up some baby snuggles. Four generations in one photo? That one belongs in a frame!
First Trip to the Beach
Sofia hit the beach at Cinnamon Shore in a seersucker swimsuit and pink sunglasses, because it’s never too early to perfect your vacation style. What a little fashionista!
Halfway to One
By six months, Sofia finally nailed the milestone photo assignment. She sat up, smiled, and gave everyone exactly what they were hoping for. (See? Sometimes babies do cooperate!)
First Flight Pro
Sofia’s first flight went better than any parent dares to hope. Alex fed her during takeoff, she slept most of the time, and every traveling mom immediately understood that miracle.
Cutest Pumpkin In the Patch
Sofia’s first pumpkin patch outing came with plenty of pumpkins, of course, but her little fall dress is what stole the show. Nothing says first fall quite like a baby surrounded by gourds bigger than herself.
First Christmas On the Ranch
You know Ree was not going to let Sofia’s first Christmas pass without matching outfits. 😂 Ree Ree, Pa Pa, and little Sofia all wore bright red sweatshirts for the occasion, and Sofia looked pretty pleased to be the tiniest member of the Christmas crew.
