If there’s one thing Alex Drummond knows, it’s how to find a great wedding guest dress! She’s had plenty of practice lately—and over the weekend, she reached for an old favorite.
Alex and Mauricio Scott got dressed up for a friend’s wedding at The Fort Worth Club, which may very well have been one of their last big nights out before baby boy arrives in September. Alex is eight months pregnant and firmly in the home stretch now, so a floor-length dress, heels, and an evening wedding is no small undertaking. But judging by the one mirror selfie they remembered to take, she found exactly the right thing to wear.
“The one pic we snapped together last night 😂 🥰,” Alex wrote, sharing the photo of Mauricio looking sharp in a tux while she showed off her floral maxi and growing bump.
And here’s the fun part: We’ve seen this dress before! It’s Club L London’s Bergamot Lemon Rose Print Satin Sweetheart Maxi Dress, a pale yellow floral style with a sweetheart neckline, delicate pleating, and a loose, flowy skirt that happens to leave plenty of room for an almost-nine-month bump.
Almost exactly one year ago, Alex wore the very same dress to another friend’s wedding in Colorado, when Sofia was still a baby and baby boy wasn’t yet in the picture. At the time, we were already admiring her wedding guest look. Now it’s back for another wedding season—and somehow looks just as good in the third trimester. That’s what we call getting your money’s worth!
Alex has had plenty of practice with wedding attire lately, including a black maternity gown she called “so comfy” at her best friend’s wedding earlier this summer. And Mauricio isn’t a bad date to have beside her, either. Five years into marriage, these two still clean up pretty nicely!
Now Alex can go back to hibernating in the air conditioning until baby boy decides it’s time to make his debut. The dress has done its duty! 😂
