An overdue photo dump is better than no photo dump—especially when it includes baby bumps, backyard splashing, and one very important pair of Crocs!
Alex Drummond just shared a cheerful look back at her summer so far and the photos pretty much cover this season of life from every angle. There were wedding celebrations, pool days with Sofia, time with friends, baby snuggles, mahjong, and plenty of appearances from George, who naturally inserted himself into as many activities as possible. “Summer so far!!!!” Alex wrote on Instagram. “Bestie got married, added some new babies to the crew, and most importantly Sofia got crocs!”
The wedding photos show Alex dressed up with Mauricio and posing alongside friends, while several other snapshots capture a much slower pace at home. Sofia played at a water table, tried out her backyard splash pad, enjoyed a few blueberries, and modeled a patriotic trucker hat that was just a tiny bit too big. There was also a touching moment with a book about getting a baby brother, which feels especially fitting now that Alex is officially eight months pregnant. Her own baby boy is due in September and she’s spending these last weeks soaking up time with Sofia before their family of three becomes a family of four!
Alex also shared photos with several pregnant friends, so apparently there will be no shortage of new little playmates around Dallas. Paige summed up the collection nicely in the comments: “Babies, mahj, and crocs!!! Makes for a fun summer!” Truly, what else does one need?
As for Alex’s plans from here, they sound considerably less busy—and considerably more air-conditioned. “If you need me for the next month+ I’ll be hibernating in the AC and ~patiently~ waiting for baby boy to make his arrival 😇,” she wrote.
After a summer filled with weddings, friends, backyard fun, and one major toddler footwear milestone, a little indoor hibernation seems to be next on the agenda. Baby boy can take it from here!
