It looks like Ree Drummond’s granddaughter might be taking after her!
In a recent Instagram photo, Alex Drummond shared a sweet little snapshot of baby Sofia standing outside, and it’s hard not to notice that head of curls. Her hair is getting longer by the day, and in this particular moment, with the sunlight hitting just right, it takes on the prettiest reddish glow. It’s subtle, but it’s there—and it definitely makes you do a double take.
Sofia’s standing at a patio table in nothing but a diaper, holding on for balance and glancing back over her shoulder like she knows she’s being watched. (And maybe photographed. And maybe admired just a little bit.) Standing is one of her favorite things to do these days and it won’t be long before she’s fully mobile! It’s also one of those blink-and-you-miss-it stages where she’s figuring out how to stand and scoot around, which somehow makes the whole scene even sweeter.
But truly, it’s the hair that steals the show. Those soft curls, that hint of red in the light—it’s hard not to think of Ree, whose own red hair has been part of her signature look for years. (Well, since she was Sofia’s own age, actually. 😂) Whether it’s just the sunshine playing tricks or something a little more genetic, Sofia is making a strong case.
Either way, she’s clearly growing fast—and if the curls keep coming in like this, Ree might have a tiny redheaded sidekick before long!
