The littlest member of the Drummond family is starting to find her voice—and naturally, she’s starting with farm animal sounds!
Alex Drummond shared a sweet video of baby Sofia on her Instagram Story recently, and oh my gosh…the cuteness. Sitting on the floor in blue floral pajamas with a little bit of bedhead and a whole lot of personality, Sofia practices her animal sounds while Alex holds up toy animals one by one and quizzes her from behind the camera.
“What does the cow say?” Alex asks. Sofia gives her version of “moo,” which is still very much in the baby pronunciation stage (and therefore all the more adorable). Then comes the sheep. “Bah-bah,” Sofia says, with a bit more confidence. By the time Alex gets to the duck, Sofia is right there with “quack quack,” proving that this girl clearly understands the assignment! 😂
It’s such a simple little video, but it says a lot about how much Sofia has grown. It feels like yesterday she was a tiny newborn in family photos and now she’s sitting up, chatting back, and brushing up on her ranch vocabulary. And really, where else would a Drummond grandbaby begin? Not with the alphabet. With cows, sheep, and ducks, of course!
As if this season of life wasn’t already full enough, Sofia is also getting ready for a big promotion. Alex and Mauricio recently shared that baby number two is on the way, which means Sofia will be a big sister to a baby brother before long. So yes, she’s growing up fast. (Maybe a little too fast, if you ask the adults in her life!)
For now, though, she’s still on the living room floor, talking to toy cows and ducks, and that is more than enough to make everyone melt. 🐮
