Last week, Alex Drummond and her husband, Mauricio, jetted off to Cabo to celebrate a major milestone in their marriage: their fifth wedding anniversary! But before spending their special day with couples massages, soaking up a sunset cruise, and enjoying an extravagant dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, Alex took a stroll down memory lane, reflecting on the moment their marriage first began. On Friday, May 1, five years after the happy couple tied the knot, Alex shared the sweetest throwback photos from their wedding day and honeymoon.
To kick off the tribute, Alex posted a picture-perfect shot of her first dance with Mauricio. In the romantic black-and-white photo, Mauricio is dipping Alex, and the two of them are sharing a kiss on the dance floor. “5 years 🤍,” Alex captioned the throwback picture before adding her husband’s Instagram handle.
Alex also shared a snapshot from their honeymoon in the Maldives, which Alex previously called “paradise.” The honeymoon throwback shows the newlyweds beaming in their bathing suits, framed by a backdrop of blue skies, turquoise waters, and white sand beaches. “We keep saying on this trip, ‘Remember when we honeymooned in the Maldives’ 😂😂,” Alex admitted in the caption. “We keep getting deja vu but also life is so different now.” Although, five years later, Alex and Mauricio are living in Dallas with a dog, a toddler, and another baby on the way, their connection is stronger than ever!
In the next photo—a return to the wedding archives—Alex revealed that she and Mauricio are “still just a couple kids in love!!!!” Along with the candid shot of the bride and groom grinning at each other, nose to nose, Alex also noted that committing to her husband was one of the best decisions she’s ever made. “I’d say ‘I do’ a million times over @mauricioscott3 💌,” she added. “Love this life we made together.”
