Alex Drummond has been a little quiet lately, and as it turns out, she has a very good excuse. Actually, she has about three very good excuses: toddler life, pregnancy exhaustion, and the general feeling that life has been moving at approximately 100 miles per hour.
That about sums it up!
The oldest Drummond daughter recently popped back onto Instagram after a short break and explained why she has been a little “MIA” from posting. Alongside a sweet photo of Sofia smiling in the pool, Alex assured everyone that things are just fine.
“Hi! Been a lil’ MIA!!!! Everything is all good over here, just finding it harder and harder to balance toddler life and pregnancy exhaustion as the weeks progress haha,” she wrote. “And feels like we have been going 100mph lately!”
(Any parent who has ever tried to keep up with a toddler while also growing a whole new baby probably just nodded along very, very strongly.)
Alex and her husband Mauricio welcomed their daughter Sofia in December 2024 and she has been stealing hearts ever since. Between her big smile, her cute outfits, and the way the whole Drummond family lights up around her, Sofia has become a little star in her own right! Now, Alex is also expecting another baby, due this fall, which means life is about to get even fuller in the sweetest way.
Of course, Alex hasn’t exactly been sitting around doing nothing during her little posting break. She shared that the family had spent “the sweetest past few days” at the lake with their besties and babies, which sounds like the perfect mix of fun and completely exhausting. Sunshine! Water! Babies! Snacks! Probably seventeen bags of toddler gear!
She also promised that there is “more to come” and said she was spending the day getting caught up. So, there you have it. Alex is doing well, Sofia is living her best pool day life, and baby number two is already making sure everyone knows who’s boss.
Pregnancy and toddlerhood at the same time is no small thing. But if anyone can do it with a smile, a little humor, and probably a very full calendar, it’s Alex!
