Alex Drummond and Mauricio Scott just wrapped up the dreamiest little babymoon in Cabo, and yes, the photos are every bit as pretty as you’d expect!
The couple headed to the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal for a baby-free getaway before welcoming their baby boy this fall. It also doubled as an anniversary trip, which means they had plenty to celebrate. Sun, ocean views, welcome drinks, poolside guac, a spa day, and a cliffside dinner under the moon? Not too shabby!
Of course, Alex kept things real along the way. She shared that she missed Sofia almost as soon as they left, even while admitting that a few days without “kid duty” sounded pretty wonderful. She also had plenty of pregnancy-friendly vacation moments, including virgin strawberry daiquiris, hibiscus water, iced lattes with a view, the yummiest dessert, and what she called a “life changing” prenatal massage.
Basically, it was relaxing, romantic, and just the right amount of sentimental. Alex even encouraged other parents to take the trip if they’re debating it, saying she didn’t realize how run down she had been until she had a few days to truly rest.

Welcome Drinks
Now this is how you start a vacation! Alex and Mauricio were greeted with drinks as soon as they arrived. Mauricio had a margarita, while Alex had hibiscus water.
Sweet Treats and Baby Boy Flowers
Their room came with the cutest welcome setup, including macarons, blue and white flowers, and a note addressed to “Mr. & Mrs. Scott.” Alex called it the “warmest & most thoughtful welcome,” especially because the blue flowers were for baby boy. 🥹
That Cabo View
Alex gave everyone a peek at their view for the next few days, and whew! Ocean, cliffs, palm trees, and an infinity pool right in front. Not a bad place to recharge for a bit.
Sniff Test
Pregnancy vacation means Mauricio gets the cocktails...and Alex gets to smell them. 😂 She joked that she was “sniffing all of Mauricio’s cocktails on this trip,” which feels very fair.
Iced Latte With a View
Even Alex’s morning coffee looked prettier in Cabo. She shared an iced latte in front of the ocean and wrote, “My morning iced latte looks a lil different this morning.” Just a little!
Hotel Breakfast
Alex said she lives for a hotel breakfast buffet, and this plate makes a strong case. Omelet, toast, orange juice, and vacation sunshine? A very dreamy start to the day, indeed!
Shade vs. Sun
There are two types of beach people, according to Alex: the ones who bake in the sun all day and the ones who stay under the umbrella. She and Mauricio seemed to know exactly which teams they were on.
Boy Mom Moment
Alex also showed off her blue and white floral swimsuit and wrote, “It’s giving boy mom.” Baby boy Scott is already getting some beachside style inspiration!
Virgin Strawberry Daiquiris
The poolside drink of the trip? Virgin strawberry daiquiris on repeat. Alex shared one by the water and it looked like the perfect pregnancy vacation order.
Poolside Chips and Guac
Alex also asked the question on everyone’s mind: “Is there anything on earth better than poolside chips & guac?” Probably not, Alex. Probably not.
Dinner Dress
For one of their nights out, Alex wore the prettiest white and blue embroidered dress with scalloped details.
El Huerto Farm to Table
Mauricio posed in front of a giant cactus at El Huerto Farm to Table, where the sunset was almost too pretty to be real. Almost!
Anniversary Dessert
The celebrating continued with a sweet anniversary dessert, complete with sparklers and “Happy Anniversary!” written on the board. Alex joked they were celebrating everywhere they went. As they should!
Spa Day
Alex and Mauricio also made time for the famous spa at the Waldorf Astoria. Alex said her prenatal massage was “life changing” and that she could “legit feel the tension exiting” her body.
The Arch
No Cabo trip is complete without a view of the famous Arch! Alex shared a photo from the water and it was such a pretty moment from their getaway.
Virgin Strawberry Margarita
At dinner, Alex stuck with another fun mocktail: a virgin strawberry margarita. Her caption said, “of course,” which feels about right after a trip full of strawberry drinks. 🍓
A Little Rest
Near the end of the trip, Alex shared a sweet note for other parents who might be debating a quick getaway. She said a few days to “truly REST” had been a “game changer,” and that she felt recharged for the rest of pregnancy and motherhood.
El Farallon Dinner
Their dinner at El Farallon looked straight out of a postcard. Ocean views, a glowing sky, and Mauricio smiling at the table before dinner. No wonder Alex called it the “dreamiest dinner ever.”
Sunset Magic
As the night went on, the view somehow got prettier. Alex shared a sunset photo from the table and wrote that it “just kept getting more magical.”
A Perfect Ending
The dinner scene turned cozy and glowy after dark, with the cliffs behind them and the ocean nearby. Alex called it the “perfect end to the most perfect trip.”
