Cankles come and go, but a good wedding date is forever!
Alex Drummond and her husband, Mauricio Scott, spent the weekend celebrating the marriage of some friends. Even at more than 30 weeks pregnant, Alex got dressed up and joined the party. She wore a bump-friendly black gown, sparkly earrings, and a personalized trucker hat that appears to have been part of the evening’s festivities. Black tie on the bottom, party hat on top!
Alex shared a selfie from the reception with Mauricio (who looked very handsome in his tuxedo!) and wrote him a sweet little note: “Never get tired of having you as my wedding date 🤍.”
These two have had plenty of practice in that department. They tied the knot themselves at Drummond Ranch in May 2021 and they’ve since attended weddings everywhere from Texas to Mexico—usually with a fun dress, a dance-floor photo, or both.
This particular night came with one small third-trimester souvenir. In a photo taken afterward, Alex stretched out in a chair with one hand resting on her bump and wrote, “What a night!!!! Worth the cankles 😘.”
That’s dedication to the celebration! Alex and Mauricio are expecting their baby boy on September 21, so she’s well into the home stretch now. The date also happens to be Ree and Ladd’s wedding anniversary, which gives the family one more reason to keep an eye on the calendar.
For now, Alex and Mauricio are soaking up this season of friends getting married while they prepare for their own next chapter at home. Baby boy will soon join Sofia, George, and the rest of the crew—but judging by Alex’s message, Mauricio already has his standing invitation to every wedding ahead. (Comfortable shoes may also be invited. 😉)
