Alex Drummond may not have everything ready for baby boy just yet, but that hasn’t stopped her from thinking a few children ahead!
During a Q&A on Instagram stories, one follower asked Alex how many kids she and Mauricio hope to have. Her answer left a little room for negotiation—which seems fair when you’re pregnant in Texas in July. 😂
“Lord willing we’d love 3-4!!” Alex wrote. “Right now I’d say 3, but ask me again when I’m not pregnant in the heat of the summer.”
Alex and Mauricio are already parents to Sofia and they’re expecting their baby boy in September. That means their household is about to include two children under the age of 2, along with George, who still seems to consider himself the original baby. (As he should.)
Of course, Alex is taking things one baby at a time. In the same Q&A, someone asked how prepared they are for their son’s arrival, and she gave a very honest second-time-mom answer. “Honestly I feel like we have NOTHING prepared 🫠,” Alex wrote. “Feeling major 2nd baby vibes haha.” She added that she was hoping “the nesting desire” would kick in soon!
Alex has been open about the fact that welcoming another baby will bring a whole new rhythm to their family. She previously admitted that she feels “a little nervous” about balancing Sofia and the newborn, especially because Sofia has been extra clingy lately. Still, she said she knows the early stage won’t last forever and is excited for her children to grow up so close in age.
For now, though, Alex has one baby boy to welcome before she and Mauricio make any decisions about babies three or four. And perhaps the official family count is best revisited when the nursery is finished and the temperature drops below 90 degrees!
