Alex Drummond is feeling very ready for her fall baby boy!
The mom of one recently opened up during an Instagram Q&A, when someone asked how she feels about having a baby in the fall this time around.
“Are you excited to have a fall baby?!” the person asked. “I’m nervous about old siblings preschool germs!!” Alex didn’t hold back and her answer was very clear: yes, yes, yes.
“I am SO EXCITED for a fall baby!!!!” she wrote. “Having a baby in the dead of winter wasn’t my jam 😂”
Of course, Alex knows all about winter newborn life. She and Mauricio welcomed their daughter, Sofia Marie, in December 2024, which meant plenty of cozy newborn snuggles, but also all the cold-weather worries that come with flu season, holiday germs, and staying cooped up inside. Still, Alex said things went better than she expected the first time around.
“I was soooo nervous about germs for Sofia but let me tell you the power of breastmilk should not be underestimated!” she shared. “Girl didn’t get sick ONCE in almost the entire first year (even when Mauricio legit got the FLU when she was 1 month old).”
How’s that for a little mom confidence boost? Now that baby number two is due in the fall, Alex seems hopeful that she’ll be able to enjoy the newborn stage with a little less worry this time.
“So hopefully this time around I’m less stressed 😂🙏,” she added.
That sounds about right for a second-time mom: still aware of all the germs, still crossing her fingers, but maybe just a little calmer than the first go-round. And with Sofia becoming a big sister, fall at the Scott house is already shaping up to be a very sweet season!
