Alex Drummond is enjoying a baby-free vacation in Cabo, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t thinking about Sofia!
She recently kicked off the first official day of her babymoon and anniversary trip with Mauricio Scott in the most peaceful way possible: sitting outside with an iced coffee, soaking up a beautiful view, and having no tiny person to wrangle for a few minutes. Sounds pretty dreamy, right? Well, yes. But also, any parent who has ever taken a trip without their child knows exactly where this is going. 😂
“Any parents relate??” Alex wrote over the video. “Looking forward to a relaxing baby-less vacay but then missing them the second u leave 🥺”
That about sums it up! Alex went on to say that she and Mauricio had already seen little kids around the property, which made her think about their daughter right away.
“Every time I’m like, ‘I wish Sofia was here,’” Alex said. “‘We should bring Sofia next time.’”
Then came the very real second thought: “But then you actually think about the logistics and you’re like, okay, I need to enjoy this time away with no kid duty,” she added.
Oh, the emotional tug-of-war of parenthood! One minute you’re thrilled to sip iced coffee in peace, and the next minute you’re picturing your baby toddling around in a sun hat. Both things can be true! Alex said that once Sofia is a little older, she and Mauricio will “definitely” bring her back to the spot, because it’s just that special.
“This place is just, I can’t express how magical it is,” she said.
For now, though, Alex gets to enjoy a little grown-up time before baby boy arrives this fall. And Sofia? Sounds like she’ll be getting plenty of extra snuggles when Mom and Dad get home.
