Look out, world: Sofia Marie Scott is officially on the move!

Alex Drummond shared the sweetest new video of her daughter walking all by herself, and it looks like those first steps at the ranch last weekend were only the beginning. In the clip, Sofia walks across the room with a big smile on her face, a floral little outfit on, and car keys in one hand, because apparently she has places to be. 😂

“No stopping this chica now,” Alex wrote over the video.

The update comes not long after Sofia took her first official steps during a recent visit to Pawhuska and her grandma (otherwise known as “Ree Ree”) had a front-row seat for the whole thing. In fact, Ree wrote about the moment afterward and said Sofia “crossed the rubicon into the wonderful world of walking,” which sums it up perfectly! Once babies figure out their feet, it’s over for everyone’s coffee tables, dog bowls, and anything stored on a low shelf.

According to Alex and Ree, Sofia hadn’t been in any big rush to walk, though she had been standing by herself and walking while holding onto Mauricio’s hands for a while. Then, while Ree, Alex, and Paige were hanging out with Sofia in the kitchen after her nap, they kept practicing a little game where Sofia would stand up by herself and do what Ree called a “forward trust fall” into her arms. After a few rounds, Ree scooted back a little farther. Sofia took one step. Then two. And then, of course, came an eruption of cheers that only a baby milestone can produce.

“Obviously there was a massive amount of shrieking and screaming ‘YAY!’ and it was the happiest thing that's ever happened to me,” Ree wrote. “Grandmas will understand this.”

Now Sofia seems to be gaining confidence by the day. In Alex’s new video, she still has that adorable toddler wobble, but she’s moving on her own and looking very proud of herself while doing it.

And she should be proud! Walking is a big job. Walking while holding the keys? Now that’s downright advanced.
