Alex Drummond went to Cabo with one major goal: relax before baby boy arrives. And judging by her new recap video, she and Mauricio Scott understood the assignment beautifully!

Alex recently shared a full little travel diary from their recent trip, after getting “so many questions” about where they stayed and what they did. This was the same getaway Alex had been looking forward to back in April, when she said she and Mauricio were excited for some “us” time before welcoming their second baby.

Well, the trip happened—and it looks like it was exactly what they needed! Alex said they flew direct from DFW to SJD, which she described as a “super easy flight,” then spent four nights at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal. “BEST decision,” Alex wrote in her caption. “Already planning our trip back!!”

The video itself feels like one big happy Cabo scrapbook: airplane views, ocean views, pool views, Mauricio looking very content with a drink in hand, and Alex smiling her way through the whole thing. There was also plenty of food, which is the true measure of any fabulous vacation! Alex said they had dinners at Don Manuel’s and El Farallon, both at the resort, plus El Huerto and Edith’s off property.

This tracks with what Alex had already shared from the trip, including welcome drinks, poolside guacamole, virgin strawberry drinks, and the prettiest anniversary dessert with sparklers. She and Mauricio also celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary while they were there, so it really was a two-for-one getaway: babymoon and anniversary trip, with a side of chips and guac. 😂

Alex also recommended making time for the Waldorf spa and the sunset cruise that’s exclusive for Waldorf Astoria guests. She previously said her prenatal massage was “life changing,” which is not a phrase to take lightly when someone is pregnant and chasing a toddler at home! And speaking of toddlers…Alex missed Sofia during the trip, because that’s just how vacationing without your baby works. You want rest desperately, then you get there and immediately start looking at pictures of the person you came to rest from. Parenthood is funny that way!

Still, Alex sounded so grateful they took the time away. “Soooo beyond thankful we had this quality relaxation time before we welcome baby boy in just a few months,” she wrote. And that seems to sum it up pretty well: ocean, good food, a little rest, and a few quiet days before life gets even busier. Not bad at all!
