Toddler fashion has two settings: absolutely adorable and absolutely whatever is clean-ish. Alex Drummond’s daughter, Sofia, is apparently very comfortable with both!
Alex recently shared a photo of her toddler sitting on the couch in a pink T-shirt, diaper, and a truly impressive head of curls that seemed to have developed their own plans for the day.
“Some days she’s in a cutesie matching fit/bubbles,” Alex wrote. “Others she’s rocking a stained tshirt + diaper and whatever this crazy hair is 😂😂.”
Honestly, why choose? Sofia has already demonstrated that she can pull off teeny-tiny pigtails with the best of them—at least until she decides to rip them out—so a little free-range hair every now and then feels perfectly fair.
And there has probably never been a better time in the Scott household to embrace the low-maintenance toddler uniform. Alex is now eight months pregnant with baby boy, whose official due date is September 21, and she has openly entered the portion of summer that involves low energy and as much air conditioning as possible. She recently joked about spending the rest of pregnancy “hibernating,” which frankly sounds like all one really can do in Dallas in August.
There’s also that little matter of her baby checklist: The nursery needs finishing, the hospital bag needs packing, and there are plenty of other boxes to check before baby boy makes his debut. (Luckily, choosing a name is no longer one of them!)
So if Sofia spends the occasional afternoon in a diaper with wild hair? Sounds like one less thing on the to-do list. 😂
