The best part of a kid-free vacation might be the sleep. Or the coffee. Or the poolside chips and guac. But the best part of coming home? Getting back to the baby!
Alex Drummond and Mauricio Scott just returned from their Cabo babymoon and anniversary trip, where they spent a few dreamy days at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal before their baby boy arrives this fall. Alex shared plenty of sweet moments from the getaway, including ocean views, welcome drinks, delicious desserts, a prenatal massage she called “life changing,” and all the virgin strawberry drinks a pregnant mama could want. She also admitted that even though the trip was relaxing, she started missing Sofia pretty much the second they left. As one does!
Now the Scotts are home, and Alex shared the sweetest update about what Sofia was up to while Mom and Dad were away.
“Back to regularly scheduled programming 💕,” Alex wrote over a photo of Sofia sitting on the floor in her pajamas with George nearby. Then she gave a little shoutout to the family members who helped watch her.
“Sofia had such a fun few days hanging with Ree Ree, Aunt Paige, great Aunt Betsy, and Abuela!” Alex wrote. “It was a group effort & I feel very thankful for our village that took such great care of her 🙏😇”
How sweet is that? Ree Ree, of course, is Ree Drummond, and Abuela is Mauricio’s mom, Martha. Paige and Betsy were also part of the crew, which means Sofia had plenty of love around her while Alex and Mauricio got a little time to rest, celebrate, and soak up the last stretch before becoming a family of four.
And George had his role, too! Alex joked that “Georgie was supervising & protecting the household of course,” which sounds exactly right for the world’s friendliest golden retriever.
Sofia is a lucky little girl, with family cheering her on from Texas to Oklahoma and everywhere in between. And baby boy Scott? Something tells us he’ll have a pretty wonderful crew waiting for him this fall, too.
